What to expect during treatment
Our Moxi appointments typically last about an hour from start to finish. When you arrive, we’ll begin by cleansing your skin and applying a topical numbing cream. This stays on for about 30 minutes to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.
Once the skin is numb, we’ll remove the cream, cleanse again, and give you protective eyewear. Then, your provider will perform the Moxi laser treatment—most patients describe it as a warm, prickly sensation that’s very tolerable and quick.
After your treatment, we’ll apply cooling gauze to help soothe and calm the skin. You may experience redness and a sandpaper-like texture over the next few days—this is completely normal and part of the process.
Before you head out, we’ll send you home with our post-treatment Moxi skincare to support healing and maximize your glow. You’ll begin to see brighter, more even skin in the days following your treatment, with continued improvement as your skin renews itself.

What is the downtime with Moxi laser?
Downtime is minimal. You can expect some redness after treatment, along with small dark microdots called MENDs in the treated area. Between days 3 and 5, these dots darken, feel rough, and then slough off as fresh skin comes through.
When will I see my results from Moxi?
Many patients notice brighter, smoother skin within about a week, with continued improvement over the following weeks as the skin renews itself.
Can I get Moxi while pregnant?
Moxi should not be performed if you are pregnant.
What should I do after my Moxi treatment?
After Moxi, avoid direct sun exposure, excessive heat, and irritating skincare products for the first several days unless your provider tells you otherwise. Use SPF daily and follow the post-treatment skincare instructions we review with you before you leave.
