Polish, Brighten, and Refresh
At Self, we’re all about preventative skin care. That’s why we are obsessed with Moxi treatments. This fractionated laser treatment will gently create controlled micro-injuries without damaging the surface of the skin. This breaks up pigment and promotes the body’s natural response of replacing damaged cells with fresh new ones.
The result is brighter, smoother, more vibrant-looking skin! It prevents the initial visible signs of aging before they appear and gives you healthy, radiant skin. Look at you, barefaced beauty!

FAQs
What does Moxi treat?
Moxi treats uneven skin tone, sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores, and rough texture by delivering gentle, fractionated laser energy that boosts collagen production. It’s ideal for preventative skincare, melasma management, and overall skin rejuvenation, leaving your skin glowy, brighter, and smoother.
Will Moxi laser hurt?
Depending on the level of treatment provided, most patients find it reasonably comfortable. You may feel a prickly heat sensation during your treatment, but we use a topical numbing cream and fan to help.
What areas do you treat with Moxi laser?
Moxi is safe for all skin types and most areas! Our most common treatment areas are the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
Is Moxi safe for melasma?
Yes, Moxi is a great option for melasma because it delivers gentle, fractionated laser energy that improves skin tone and texture without excessive heat, which can sometimes worsen pigmentation. We have found that when combined with medical-grade skincare and sun protection, Moxi can help manage melasma safely and effectively.
Can I stack Moxi with BBL?
Yes, Moxi and BBL can be stacked in the same treatment session for enhanced results. BBL targets redness, pigmentation, and sun damage, while Moxi improves skin texture, tone, and collagen production. Together, they create a powerful combination for achieving brighter, smoother, and more even skin.
What is the downtime with Moxi laser?
This is a low downtime treatment. You can expect some redness depending on your level of treatment, as well as dark micro dots, called “mendz” all over the treatment area. Between days 3 and 5, these dots will darken, feel rough, and slough off, revealing fresh skin beneath.
How long to see my Moxi laser results?
You will notice an improvement in your complexion within a week, with full results in 3 months.
Can I get Moxi while pregnant?
Moxi should not be performed if you are pregnant.
What should I do after my Moxi treatment?
- Wear SPF 30+ and avoid exposure to direct sunlight (no tanning!)
- You may wear make up 24 hours after your treatment.
- Cool compress can be applied immediately post treatment if discomfort is experienced. Do not place ice directly on the skin.
- Use our post treatment skincare products that we give you. Avoid the use of irritating and pore clogging skin care products for the first 3-5 days after treatment.
