Your Guide to Cheek Filler in Wilmington, NC

Curious about cheek filler or wish for a way to bring back that youthful bounce and definition to your cheeks? Cheek filler might just be for you. In this blog, we will answer the most common questions that we receive- what are the benefits, downtime, and how to prepare for your appointment.

What is Cheek Filler?

At Self Skin Studio, we use HA fillers, which is simply a gel-like substance, gently injected under the skin. While treatments like Botox smooth out fine lines by relaxing facial muscles, fillers work by plumping up the area, adding volume, and enhancing those gorgeous facial contours.

They’re fantastic because they're absorbable, which means your body will naturally break them down over time. One of the great advantages of hyaluronic acid fillers is their reversibility. If you’re not quite in love with the results or if adjustments are needed, the filler can be easily dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This flexibility is comforting for those new to fillers and ensures that you can proceed confidently.

The Benefits of Cheek Fillers

Cheek fillers are truly versatile, from adding volume to balancing the face

- As we age, our faces lose collagen and elastin, leading to a less defined look. Fillers bring back that plump, youthful volume we all love.

- Fillers can sculpt your face, creating more of a contoured look and adding balance.
